A Little About the Resort!

Paradise Lakes Resort is a 72 acre private, clothing optional hotel, resort and community just north of Tampa, Florida.  Here, you are welcome to be yourself in a tropical, fun filled setting.  If you are new to the world of clothing free or clothing optional way of life, you will find the policy of “take off as much as you are comfortable with” to make the initial visits stress free.

Paradise is a tourist destination resort, with visitors from all over the world, a private members only club and a community with over 500 residents who live on the property year round and call Paradise home. The homes are privately owned and the residents are not unlike the residents in any other community. They pay taxes, go to work or school, have mail delivery, and everything else that makes up a community, except that they can choose to wear or not to wear clothing anywhere within Paradise Lakes Resort.

Paradise was a dream that started back in 1980. Traditionally, before the advent of Paradise Lakes, nudist clubs, camps and parks consisted of rustic surroundings with trailers, swimming pools, tennis and volleyball courts with a club house where the membership could gather. They had visitors from time to time so some RV sites, tenting areas or cabins became available. Paradise innovators went in a different direction completely and decided to build an upscale resort and community that would be clothing optional, which would appeal to the middle and upper class of American Society and they did what was never done before. They built homes, condos and apartments for people to live within a full-time nudist lifestyle. It was an instant success. The homes, condos and apartments sold out before they were even built. Every time they built more the same thing happened. That was the real estate side of business.

The resort developed side by side with the residential community.   There you may find a broad spectrum of people, from all walks of life, enjoying the many facilities including pools, restaurants, night club, bars, hot tubs, Jacuzzi, spa, tennis courts, volleyball pools, shuffleboard, horseshoes, sand volleyball courts, hotel rooms, plus many other amenities. The prestigious Wall Street Journal did an article in which they noted some very strong economic factors about nudism. The nude and clothing optional community was beginning to have some clout!  The International Federation with headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium, reported that more than 30 million people a year seek nudist destinations worldwide. Membership in nudism has more than doubled in the United States in 10 years. At Paradise, in the 25 years of existence there has been growth with no sign of this diminishing and consequently, Paradise has risen to have the largest membership in the Association of Nude  Recreation.

Paradise continues to prosper. Paradise welcomes visitors to come and take a free tour of the facilities to see for themselves what Paradise is like. After the tour they can stay for the day if they wish. This gives them a chance to experience the lifestyle, enjoy our fabulous restaurant and night club, take in some sun, play some sports, have a swim and a tall cool drink.

Hope to see YOU soon, in Paradise!
